In April 2002, NHK Spring Group established a special subsidiary, Nippatsu Harmony, which employs people with disabilities, and has been actively working to expand their employment while gradually increasing the number of operation sites in Japan.

Recent Major Initiatives at Our Special Subsidiary Nippatsu Harmony

Expanding range of tasks	In addition to the conventional indoor/outdoor cleaning, greening, resource collection and sorting activities, we are also working on creating new tasks for employees with disabilities, such as production assistance, digitization of documents, and washing of company cars.
Collaborative support	We have been accepting trainees from schools for the disabled and other organizations but we have had to cancel accepting trainees due to the COVID-19 pandemic. (FY2020: 45) We are also welcoming visitors from local schools, companies, and government organizations. (FY2020: 69)
Improving skills and enthusiasm	In the Office Cleaning Service Category of the Abilympics, we took first place in the Kanagawa Prefecture Abilympics in 2018, and first place in the Shiga Prefecture Abilympics in 2019 and 2020. We plan to participate in the Abilympics Japan for the third consecutive year in 2021.
Expansion of the number of operational offices in japan	Starting with a single office in 2002, we now have seven offices. Along with this expansion, the original number of employees with disabilities working in 2002 increased from eight to 79 as of April 1, 2021.
